How Sylvie Returned to Her Body

Silveil began with a simple, very personal question:

What if caring for the body could feel less like fixing something — and more like coming home?

In her 30s, Sylvie was working hard, moving fast, and pushing through almost everything. Like many women, she believed that if her mind could keep going, her body would somehow follow.

But slowly, her body began to speak.

Migraines. Sleepless nights. Plantar fasciitis. Sudden weight gain. A heaviness that was hard to explain. None of it looked dramatic from the outside. But day by day, it made life feel harder, more uncomfortable, and less connected.

At 32, she made a promise to herself:
to stop treating her body as something to push through, and start treating it as something worthy of care.

She began studying with experienced Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners, learning acupoints, moxa, gua sha, massage, and the quiet philosophy behind them. What she found was not a quick fix. It was something slower and more honest: daily attention, gentle touch, warmth, patience, and rhythm.

Over the years, these practices changed the way she lived in her body.

By 39, her migraines and plantar fasciitis had eased, her sleep felt steadier, and her body felt more like home again.

I didn’t come to Traditional Chinese Medicine as a trend.

I came to it because my body was tired.

In my 30s, after years of pushing through work, stress, migraines, sleepless nights, plantar fasciitis, and weight gain, I realized I had been treating my body like something that simply had to keep up.

At 32, I began learning from experienced Chinese medicine practitioners. I studied acupoints, moxa, gua sha, massage, and the deeper idea that the body is not separate from how we live.

These practices did not change me overnight. They changed me slowly.

They taught me to listen earlier, rest sooner, touch more gently, and care more consistently.

Silveil is my way of sharing what helped me come back to my body — in a form that modern women can understand, trust, and practice at home.

With care,
Sylvie

Silveil was born from that journey.

Not as a promise of perfection.
Not as another beauty standard.
But as an invitation to listen, soften, and return.

Why Silveil Exists

We created Silveil for women who want to care for their bodies, but don’t always know where to begin.

Traditional Chinese Medicine holds a deep, beautiful language for understanding the body — but for many modern women, it can feel distant, complicated, or hard to practice alone at home.

Silveil exists to make that wisdom feel closer.

Our hope is to make acupressure, gua sha, moxa, and herbal body rituals easier to understand, easier to trust, and easier to bring into everyday life.

We are here to translate old wisdom into simple rituals:
where to press, how to glide, when to warm, how to slow down, and how to listen to what your body may be asking for.

Our Way

Silveil is guided by Chinese medicine, shaped with care, and translated through Sylvie’s own experience as a modern woman learning to rebuild trust with her body.

We believe good self-care should feel:

clear enough to follow
gentle enough to repeat
beautiful enough to enjoy
grounded enough to trust

Every guide, product, and ritual we create begins with one intention:

to help you build a more respectful relationship with your body — one small practice at a time.

Our Belief

Your body is not a problem to fix.

It is a place to return to.
A place to listen to.
A place that carries your work, your stress, your emotions, your seasons, and your story.

Self-care does not have to be dramatic to be meaningful.

Sometimes, it is three minutes of pressing one point.
A warm cup of tea.
A slow gua sha stroke.
A few quiet breaths before sleep.

Small rituals can become a way back.

Treat your body as a temple.
