Quick find

Turn the back of the hand toward you. Bring the thumb and index finger together, mark the highest point of the muscle mound, then relax the hand.

Landmark check

Find the landmark while the area is relaxed. If the location is uncertain, pause rather than pressing harder.

Gentle practice

Use the opposite thumb. Press in comfortable circles for 30–60 seconds, then release. Repeat two or three slow rounds on both hands.

What to notice

A broad, dull ache or local tenderness can occur. Sharp pain is a stop sign.

After the practice, notice ease, warmth, no change, or uncertainty. All are valid observations.

Safety first

Avoid strong stimulation during pregnancy unless a qualified professional advises otherwise. Do not press broken, irritated, or infected skin.

Stop with sharp, unusual, or worsening discomfort.

The Silveil method

Find first. Press gently. Notice honestly.

  1. 01

Find the bone, crease, tendon, muscle, or hollow before touching.

  2. 02

Press only at a comfortable level. Stronger is not better.

  3. 03

Notice ease, warmth, no change, or uncertainty without forcing a result.
